Why Probiotics?

Probiotics: it’s a buzzword that has been around for a while now, but what are they and why are they so important?⁣

Probiotics are essentially a type of bacteria that lives in your gut. It is found in fermented foods such as saurkraut, kefir, yogurt, kimchi, sourdough, tempeh, and of course- kombucha. ⁣

The reason we (and our bodies) love probiotic foods so much is that it aids in our overall gut health- which essentially helps our bodies break down food and process nutrients. ⁣But if the amount of good bacteria and bad bacteria is out of balance; our bodies can struggle to process foods and nutrients how they’re meant to (leaky gut) which can leave you experiencing:
sleepiness, brain fog, body composition changes, digestion issues, and more. ⁣We’re not saying that probiotics in your life will fix everything and make you the pinnacle of health...but it can help! ⁣
